  I’m loving and hating the Pins service

  tedr:

  Love: Conceptually I love the new $5 pinning option. It a very natural, native method of monetizing a very popular free service.

  Hate: Even though pins only stay atop a dashboard for a day, I probably go to my dashboard 10x a day. Today by my 3rd visit I’m thinking badly about the people who have paid to be infront of my view space. Makes me almost not want to go back to my dashboard again knowing I’ll have to skip them

  Not only that, the first couple of times I went back, I thought there were no new posts and shut the window.
